If you’ve been paying attention to the housing market, you probably know we’re in a historic seller’s market. So why is now a good time to buy? Today I’ll explain three reasons why:
1. Interest rates are at an all-time low. This means your money goes a lot farther than it would otherwise. Even though home prices have gone up, you may be able to afford a better home than you think.
2. We’re in an appreciating market. Right now, home prices are going up about 1% per month. That means that if you bought a house six months ago for $400,000, today it would be worth $24,000 more. You always want to buy in an appreciating market because you don’t want your new investment to immediately lose value. I suggest you take advantage of rising home values while you can.
3. Real estate is a great way to build wealth. The most secure way to build wealth is through real estate, and with home prices rising, you want to get in on the action as soon as you can. The longer you wait, the more long-term value you are missing out on.
